1996年から続けているこのサイト「AT FIRST AT LAST」は、
日本の80年代自主制作盤を中心に、商業流通の外側で生まれ、
限られた人の手から手へと渡っていった音楽を記録するために立ち上げました。
当時の自主制作盤は、単なる音源ではなく、
「この音楽を残したい」「今、鳴らしている音を形にしたい」という
切実な意思そのものだったと思います。
そうした意思は、作品だけでなく、人を通して今も引き継がれています。
ここで紹介している作品は、
主に1980年代に制作された7インチEP、LP、カセットテープなどの自主制作音源で、
私個人が所有しているものです。
本サイトは、実物に基づいた記録と資料化を目的としています。
このサイトでは、当時の作品を紹介するだけではなく、
私自身が関わりを持ち、現在も活動を続けているバンドや音楽についても、
その文脈の延長として紹介していきます。

1985年、服部卓を中心に札幌で結成。
80年代札幌アンダーグラウンド・シーンの一翼を担うも、
90年代に活動停止。
2024年、服部卓／吉田ハジメの2名体制で再始動。
2025年、OUTの渡部徹が加入し、3ピース編成として現在に至る。
現在は、自主企画ライブ「地下牢の沈鬱」を展開しながら、
札幌を拠点に活動を続けている。

AT FIRST AT LAST is a personal website that I have been running since 1996.
It was created to document Japanese independently released records from the 1980s-
music that was produced outside of commercial distribution systems and passed quietly
from hand to hand among a limited number of listeners.
Independent releases of that era were not merely sound recordings.
They were expressions of a strong and urgent will:
“We want to leave this music behind,”
“We want to give form to the sound we are playing right now.”
That sense of intention has been carried forward not only through the recordings themselves,
but also through the people connected to them, and it continues to this day.
The works introduced on this site mainly consist of independently released
7-inch EPs, LPs, and cassette tapes produced in the 1980s.
All items presented here are from my own personal collection.
This site is intended as a record and archive based on physical, first-hand materials.
In addition to documenting works from that period,
this site also introduces bands and music with which I have been personally involved
and which continue to be active today,
as a continuation of the same cultural and historical context.
